The Last Monk is a terribly sombre title for a fast-paced comedy - someone recently asked me, when told only the title, whether it was anything like The Name of the Rose. I said only if she meant Christian Slater would also ruin a movie of my book.

Clearly, I've got a problem. My novel's title, to loosely paraphrase Oscar Wilde, sucks.
