New Extract — Fitzgerald House, Part One

Wordcount = 86,887

I’m currently in the middle of technical business so tedious that my internet connection actually suicided instead of waiting for me to think of something interesting to say about it.

So instead of risking blog suicide by posting anything dull (Random Chance forbid), I’ve posted the first installment of a new, two-part extract from The Last Monk. The full extract is a bit longer than the red carpet extract, contains some plot and introduces the hottest young tea-cosy in modern Australian literature. Part Two will be posted next Tuesday.

As always, feel free to hand it around, comment on it or print it for use as the raw materials of a complex origami moose.

I hope I don’t need to say, photos of origami moose constructed from The Last Monk are encouraged: mat@matlarkin.com.
